Welcome to Maine, my family home for multiple generations. Come share the beauty and love for Maine that I have. Your “playcation” includes tuition and room. Meals will be discussed. Kitchens are available in the apartment style room option.
Fees: Participant tuition - $700, Family member fee - $350. Rooms available: Apartment style - suite with kitchen, two beds, a bathroom and living room, fee $100 plus tax per night, not per person. Dorm room - two person occupancy with semi-private bathroom, fee $65 plus tax per night, again per room, not per person. Two of the apartments have handicap accessibility. Meals will be discussed so to make a decision that best suits the group as a whole. Since kitchens are available, many people may be interested in taking advantage of this opportunity. We will discuss outings that we will pay for individually.
Participant fees include 2 to 3 hours of instruction per day (Monday-Friday, including private lesson time, master classes and reed making. Chamber music will be available throughout the week for all participants to take part in. Meals will be payed individually, but some group based and some individual, depending on activities which will vary to allow campers to visit some of the regions most iconic sights with the insight of Lisa Sayre. Some activities may be group based, such as a trip to Bar Harbor, Camden, Acadia National Park, Avena Botanicals to name a few places. Maybe take in a concert at Blue Hill. Ask me, I can direct you to them.
Some other events will be addressed, such as a seal sighting cruise or sunset sail, events that will require additional costs. We can make decisions on these events as we get closer to the time of our visit. The Maine coastal region is a popular summer destination and to participate in some events will require a bit of planning.
I will be available to pick up participants flying into the region via Bangor International Jetport. Since this is high season, please plan accordingly. Earlier booking will help get a better fee. Carriers include Allegiant, Delta Air Lines and US Airways. I would suggest speaking with me before you book your flight, so we can reduce the number of trips to the airport.
